V. Becky Klaehn, of Marblehead, passed away Friday, Jan. 24, at Otterbein Northshore. She was born June 18, 1934 in Cleveland, the daughter of George and Anna (Koukoulas) Lentzakis. She married William E. Klaehn, Jr. on Dec. 31, 1958 and he preceded her in death on Sept. 6, 2015. Mrs. Klaehn was a bookkeeper for Cleveland Retail Credit Bureau and moved to Marblehead in 1976. She and her husband owned and operated Mutachs Market until retirement in 2007. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Danbury and she enjoyed boating, waterskiing, and playing cards, especially pinochle.
Surviving are her sons: William (Margaret “Margie”) Klaehn, III of Marblehead, Russell Klaehn of Vacaville, CA, John Klaehn of Marblehead; grandchildren: William (Amanda Allender) Klaehn, IV, George Klaehn, Cassie Klaehn, John Klaehn, Jr., Alex Klaehn; brother: Christy (Jean) Lentzakis of Parma, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband: William; son: George Klaehn; brothers: Gregory Lentzakis, Stanley Lentzakis; sisters: Elene Loveless and Julie Wallace.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 31, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 541 Church Rd. Lakeside-Marblehead, where the body will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Visitation will be held 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Rd. Lakeside-Marblehead. Interment will be in Clemons Cemetery, Marblehead. Rev. Beth Westphal will be officiating. Memorial contributions may be given to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, Ohio or St. Paul Lutheran Church of Danbury.
