The Ottawa County Veterans Service Office is now printing the Ohio veterans identification card. The office will host a Veterans ID Card Day on Friday, Sept. 20 from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

On other days, an appointment must be made to print veterans’ cards. To be eligible, veterans must have presented their discharge for recording, provide two forms of current and valid identification (at least one must bear their photograph), and not be dishonorably discharged.

Veterans must have their discharge recorded with the Ottawa County Recorders Office in order to receive the Ohio veterans identification card. The Ottawa County Recorders Office is located in the Ottawa County Courthouse, 315 Madison St., Port Clinton. For additional questions or to schedule an appointment, contact the Ottawa County Veterans Service Office at 419-898-2089 to speak with a service officer.
