The beautiful 1928 Ford Tri-Motor “City of Port Clinton” will be back at the Erie-Ottawa International Airport on Friday through Sunday, Sept. 23-25, offering sightseeing rides to the public.

These flights will be available for three days only, from 9 a.m.- 5 p.m.(weather permitting). The vintage airplane will depart from the Liberty Aviation Museum, 3515 E. State Rd., Port Clinton. This will be the last chance this season to enjoy a bird’s eye view of the Lake Erie Shores & Islands region from one of the world’s very first passenger airliners.

Tickets are $85 for adults and $55 for children (17 and under). Discounted tickets can be purchased prior to the event by visiting www.flytheford.org or calling 1-877-952-5395.

A portion of each ticket sold will be donated to the Tri-Motor Heritage Foundation (THF), a non-profit group based at the museum, who are restoring a 1929 5-AT Ford Tri-Motor which flew for Island Airlines. In addition to the sightseeing flights, the foundation will have a variety of souvenirs available for purchase to help the group raise additional money for their restoration project.

For more information, visit www.RestoreTheFord.org or stop by Liberty Aviation Museum to speak with volunteers and see the restoration in progress.
