The Port Clinton City Schools take great pride in its school facilities and share that pride with the community. To maintain the quality of the Hablitzel Von Thron Tennis Complex in Port Clinton, there is a project to resurface and repair the tennis courts. The facility will be closed until the project is completed.

A future announcement will be made when the tennis complex will open again for the community. The Verdi Von Thron Tennis Center, which opened in 1997, was named Court of the Year by the Tennis Industry Magazine in 1999. The center has since been renamed the Von Thron/Hablitzel Tennis Center at the request of Dr. Von Thron.
