The Ottawa County Senior Resources office will offer volunteer training from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 28 at the Oak Harbor Senior Center at the Riverview Healthcare Campus, 8180 W. Ohio 163, Oak Harbor.

Learn about the senior resources program and the elderly population. Training is offered for volunteer opportunities for much needed home-delivered meal drives to homebound seniors. The training includes sensitivity to the needs of the elderly and disabled, HIPAA Law, meal services and delivery procedures, documentation required, PASSPORT/My-Care Ohio, Abuse and Neglect identification and reporting, hygiene and hand washing procedures, hospice basics, and Medicare 101Ottawa County resources.
