Watch the eclipse away from the crowds at Put-in-Bay

Put-in-Bay is excited to offer a once-in-a-lifetime, away-from-the-crowds viewing experience during the total solar eclipse on April 8. The monumental eclipse will be viewed on the lawn of the Perry’s Monument & Peace Memorial starting at noon.

Guests are asked to bring their own chairs. When they get off the Miller Ferry they will be greeted with free solar glasses and a What’s Open Map to help them navigate their day.  Restaurants, golf carts, churches, nature trails and parks will be open on April 8. The Miller Ferry is offering a ticket and cart package deal for the day. Preseason commenced when the Miller Boat Line began offering service to and from the island on Saturday, March 2.  Please note that two restaurants, a few lodging facilities and the grocery and hardware stores are open until April when the Bay begins to ramp up to Memorial Day Opening Weekend.  Currently, nature trails and parks can be enjoyed outdoors.  Guests will need to bring their own vehicle or bikes during the preseason to navigate the island, except on April 8.
