Firelands Forward, a regional workforce development collaborative that services Ottawa, Erie and Huron counties, is trying to drive economic growth in the Firelands Region through connecting, retaining and attracting talent.
Organized by Firelands Forward’s Employer Resource Network, multiple community organizations will participate in the upcoming Regional Employee Wellness Fair on Saturday, Sept. 10 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Gary Anderson Marksmanship Building at Camp Perry in Port Clinton.
“With the staffing shortages being experienced by everyone, it can put extra stress on employees. This wellness fair is a great opportunity to learn some health tips, participate in a number of different screenings or just browse the resources available to help people,” said Rachel Fall, the Director of Community Outreach and Physician Recruitment for Magruder Hospital.
“We are encouraged not only to think about our mental and physical health, but also the importance of taking care of all eight interdependent dimensions of wellness that impact our lives. And this is an opportunity to learn from experts,” explained Luis Quezada, the Work Wellness Coach for the Firelands Forward ERN.
Featured keynote speaker at 11 a.m. is Patty Abrigo, a Holistic Physical Therapist presenting “Posture Matters in the Workplace.”
