Wicked winds coming out of the southwest last Wednesday night stormed through Ottawa and Erie counties, causing damage and destruction. In Port Clinton, huge trees were knocked down on Madison Street (above), crunching a white pickup truck, as well on Fulton Street (below). It could have been worse. Sandusky’s iconic Sandusky State Theatre lost its roof. City officials are planning repairs. Areas of both Sandusky and Port Clinton were without power for a couple of days.
