Friends of Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge on the Lake Erie shoreline west of Port Clinton will host local artists and craftsmen during the Wildlife Stop and Shop at Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge on Saturday and Sunday, May 13-14.
The Wildlife Stop and Shop is being held during the Biggest Week in American Birding on World Migratory Bird Day Weekend.
Just in time for Mother’s Day, vendors will sell unique nature-themed products and crafts, artwork and upcycled and recycled items following the theme of birds and wildlife. The Wildlife Stop and Shop will be located on the Visitor Center grounds from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. both days.
The Friends Rookery Nature Store will be open, as well. Sales in the Rookery Nature Store directly support the conservation mission of Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge.
In conjunction with Bench Farms and the Greening UToledo Through Service Learning (GUTS) program, the Friends will also host a pollinator plant sale though May 14. Food vendors will also be on the Visitor Center grounds. For more information, visit www.friendsofottawanwr.org/spring-migration.
