William J. Coyle, 54 of Port Clinton, died Tuesday, Feb. 21, at the Genoa Care Center following a lengthy illness under Hospice Care. He was born April 1, 1968, in Port Clinton, to James A. and Renee A. (Martin) Coyle.
He was a 1986 graduate of Oak Harbor High School and received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toledo in 1991. Bill was employed by New Departure, later known as KBI, in Sandusky, for 26 years. His hobby was antique cars. He drove his Model T Roadster across the Mississippi River and to West Virginia several times. He also enjoyed being outdoors, boating and fishing.
Survivors include his mother Renee Coyle and his brother Michael J. Coyle, both of Port Clinton; his aunt Mildred Yeomans and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his father James; aunts: Eleanore Honsperger and Naomi Meachen; and uncle Jack Coyle.
Visitation was held Sunday, Feb. 26 and Monday, Feb. 27, at Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Oak Harbor. Funeral Services were held Monday, Feb. 27, at the Funeral Home. Burial was in Salem Township Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor. Memorial Contributions may be made to ProMedica Hospice, St. John Lutheran Church, Port Clinton, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
