If you’re a witchy woman, it is not too early to get ready for Halloween if you’re in the Port Clinton area. You just have to learn the Witches Dance.
The Madison Street Dance Company, 112 Madison St., Port Clinton will be welcoming witches aplenty on Wednesday, Feb. 19 at 7:15 p.m. for one of the monthly Witches Dance Workshops, which are held the third Wednesday of each month.
The Valkenhaus Hexenbrut Witches Dance, guided by Nick and Kristin Vakenhaus of Port Clinton, has been a major hit at the last couple of annual Halloween celebrations on Madison Street. To see last year’s dance, visit “Valkenhaus Hexenbrut Witches Dance 2019” on Facebook.
“Everyone is welcome to attend,” said Kristin Valkenhaus. “That means kids, and spouses, too!”
The cost of the workshop is $5 per person. Kids 12 and under with a participating adult are free.
The Valkenhaus Hexenbrut Witches Dance has become popular all over the world in recent years, with dancers designing a dazzling array of witches garb and twirling their broomsticks.
