Women in Conservation Series to begin around county

Ottawa Soil and Water Conservation District’s Women in Conservation Series is starting soon. The series will be held at various locations in Ottawa County from 5:30 p.m.–8 p.m. on the third Wednesday of every month from April through September.

The first workshop will be on April 17 at the Twin Oast Brewery. During the session, participants will get a tour of the brewery and learn how local produce is incorporated into their beer. The cost for this session is $20.

The topics and dates for the following sessions are:

May 15: Fermentation @ Bay Creek Farmstead, Oak Harbor

June 19: Garden Tour @ Schedel Gardens, Elmore *$20

July 17: Shooting @ Winous Point Marsh Conservancy, Port Clinton

Aug. 21: Paddling @ Portage River Paddling Company, Port Clinton *$35

Sept. 18: Water Quality @ Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge. Oak Harbor

Each session will provide dinner, an opportunity to talk with experts in their field, socializing with other women interested in the outdoors, and fun!
