The national Wreaths Across America movement to remember U.S. military veterans is kicking off its summer fundraising campaign around Ottawa County, according to area committee members.
Wreaths across America–Ottawa County will purchase the thousands of wreaths needed to be laid on veteran’s graves at area cemeteries during December ceremonies.
The $10 raffle tickets will earn a chance at winning a Yeti Cooler filled with premium liquor valued at $800, an Adirondack Chair and side table valued at $300; and a Put-in-Bay Prize Package valued at more than $200. The drawing will be July 1.
Raffle tickets are available at Portage Inn in Elmore, Rays Cafe in Genoa and Howie’s House of Brews in Oak Harbor. Also selling raffle tickets are committee members Nathan Holman, Port Clinton; Kayleen Daup, Carroll Township; Shelley Schutte, Graytown; John Heminger, Genoa; and Sara Toris at the Ottawa County Veteran’s office.
