Liberty Aviation Museum in Port Clinton ferried military aircraft fans on flights aboard the World War II B-17 Bomber “Yankee Lady” recently. The Yankee Lady is one of nearly 13,000 B-17 Bombers built for World War II, of which less than 40 survive.
“Yankee Lady” is one of only nine that are still airworthy, and an impressive aircraft to both ride in and see in flight. Communications and Marketing Director Jim Priebe of Liberty Aviation Museum said bookings for the flights were very good.
