The 21st annual Bay Point Memorial Golf Tournament is designed to honor the golfing old-timers and members of Bay Point Resort and Marina who have passed away over the years. This year, a young trio of golfers took advantage of a bright, sunny day to capture the event. The winning trio was Jacob Suchecki, Collin Waldie and Evan Waldie, who fired a two-under 25 to capture the event on Saturday, July 13.

Event Coordinator Dani Peterson was instrumental in reviving the golf tournament in 2018, earmarking the tournament to benefit the Danbury Township Fire Department, which had its fire truck parked at the post-tournament dinner.

To date, the generous community, campground and marina members at Bay Point have donated more than $31,000 with the event. Gold Level sponsors were: Bay Point Resort and Marina, Catawa Interiors, Directions Credit Union, Marine Tech Concepts, Martha & Molly’s,, Mike’s Dockside Service, Mutachs Food Market, Tom Johnson/Howard Hanna and University of Toledo Athletics.
