Perch fishing hot spots were few and far between, but some anglers found them last week.
It’s been a rough week for fishing around Lake Erie.
Constant winds most of the week, and Gale Force winds over the weekend certainly didn’t accommodate many anglers. There was not a lot of fishing going on this past week.
There were very few opportunities to get out and, if you were lucky enough to have a decent day to fish, here are a couple of reports. Walleye fishing has been possible on Lake Erie mainly north of the Canadian line from Middle Island to King George and Gull Island shoals.
The yellow perch fisherman were tucked in around the Marblehead Lighthouse and Lakeside, and a couple of fishermen managed to navigate their way to Kelleys Island. It was not a great weekend for the opening of the Fall Brawl, the Lake Erie walleye fishing derby.
Everyone can now check out the Deadeye Crankbaits on the Precision Trolling App. Both Deep Divers and the Eye Baby’s are on there. We are hoping for a better week of weather coming up and for some good fishing reports.
