Time for Lakeside’s first Jingle Jump into Lake Erie

The waters of Lake Erie have skidded below the 40-degree mark along the Lakeside-Marblehead Peninsula, but that won’t stop some warm-blooded, brave-of-heart folks from taking a chilly jump into the frigid lake in the first Jingle Jump on Saturday, Dec. 8.

There’s no fee to make the jump, but registration forms must be submitted by Dec. 7. The forms are available by contacting advancement@lakesideohio.com or calling 419-798-4461 (Ext. 246).  Lakeside encourages donations to the Lakeside Annual Fund from jumpers, as well as friends and family.

Check-in and onside registration begins at 11 a.m. Hot beverages will be available to keep jumpers warm while they wait. Rooms on the first floor of the nearby Fountain Inn will be available to slip into dry clothes.

There will be awards for Best Dressed Jumper; Jumper with the Most Team Spirit; Most Festive Jumper; and the most money raised by a single jumper or team. Spectators are welcome.
