Lakers win third straight, now 4-3

DANBURY TWP. — Danbury made easy work of Jones Leadership Academy,defeating them, 60-35, in non-conference action to be 4-3 on the season. Danbury (4-3) led 15-10 after the first quarter and held a 26-17 advantage at halftime. The Lakers led 38-25 after three quarters and put the game away by outscoring the Mustangs, 22-10, in the fourth. Justin Murray had 16 points to lead all scorers, Ian Kuzma scored nine points and Saylor Evans and Noah Stys scored eight points apiece. Andie Johnson scored 11 points for JLA.
Danbury 60, Lakota 33
Danbury jumped out to an early lead and made easy work of Lakota, defeating the Raiders, 60-33. The Lakers led 17-5 after one quarter and held a 28-14 lead at halftime. Danbury increased the lead to 47-28 after three quarters and won the fourth, 13-5. Justin Murray scored 18 points to lead all scorers and Saylor Evans
finished with 11. Jay Mautz had 11 points to lead Lakota (0-6, 0-3 SBC River).
Danbury girls fall to Old Fort
Danbury fell behind early and struggled throughout the game, falling, 63-30, to Old Fort. The Stockaders went ahead, 19-8, at the quarter and 34-14 at halftime. Old Fort increased its lead to 50-18 after three quarters. Morgan Miller had 15 points to lead all scorers and Jordan Reineck chipped in with 14. Kalee Rakosky had nine points to lead the Lakers.
