If you are facing a utility shut-off, have disconnected utilities, or are low on bulk fuel supplies, Great Lakes Community Action Partnership (GLCAP) can help. GLCAP’s Emergency Home Energy Assistance Program can provide a one-time utility assistance payment this winter to help income-eligible residents of Ottawa, Wood, Sandusky, and Seneca counties.
In order to qualify, the household must be at or below the 175 percent federal poverty guidelines (e.g. up to $43,925 for a family of four) and have all required documentation with them at the time of the appointment. Individuals interested in receiving assistance must have a face-to-face interview. Details are available at www.glcap.org.
Assistance will be available by appointment only at GLCAP sites in Port Clinton, Bowling Green, Fostoria and Fremont on Dec. 25-28 and Dec. 31. Sites will be closed Dec. 24-25 and Jan. 1, 2019. To schedule an appointment call 1-888-441-4327.
