LEWT Anglers set walleye records on Lake Erie

There were 73 fishermen competing in the Lake Erie Walleye Trail event based in Huron on Saturday, May 15, and winners Tyler Berthold of Columbia Station, Ohio and Jeremy Lisy of Akron set the LEWT weight mark. With an 11.33-pound walleye anchoring their limit of five walleye in the one-day event, Lisy and Berthold’s catch stopped the scales at 44.81 pounds. The top seven two-angler teams also topped the 40-pound mark.

Completing the top five teams were: Ryan Yonkers and Cole Carlson, 43.39 pounds; Chris Bradway and Kody Hill, 41.77 pounds; Jason Kopf and Rodger Riggs, 41.67 pounds; and Nicholas and Gary Zart, 41.01 pounds.
