Magruder Hospital welcomes foot and ankle surgeons Coleman Clougherty, DPM, MA and Peter Highlander, DPM, MS to the Magruder campus, 611 Fulton St., Suite G, Port Clinton.

The providers from The Reconstruction Institute at Bellevue Hospital specialize in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, including: cartilage replacement, custom 3D printed deformity corrections, lower extremity limb salvage, total ankle replacements, trauma and fracture care.

Dr. Clougherty specializes in treating complex lower limb conditions such as post-traumatic deformities. He focuses on limb salvage of the lower extremities and has extensive experience in muscle flap procedures.

Dr. Clougherty also serves as a physician at the Cleveland Lower Extremity Specialists. He received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine in Independence, Ohio, and completed his residency at Saint Vincent Charity Medical Center in Cleveland.

Dr. Highlander is a board certified foot and ankle surgeon. He received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Barry University in Miami Shores, Fla., and most recently has been noted for his use of 3D printed custom implants.

In January 2018, Dr. Highlander performed Ohio’s first successful total talus, or ankle, replacement using 3D printing. He is also the first surgeon in the U.S. to perform a custom cuboid bone replacement.
