The popular Tree A Rama Charity Auction is a special-event fundraiser for The Salvation Army Port Clinton Service Unit on Sunday, Dec. 2 at Mon Ami Restaurant and Historic Winery in Port Clinton. The afternoon benefit begins with a silent auc- tion at 2 p.m., followed by the spirited live auction at 4 p.m.
There is no charge to attend Tree A Rama. This year, several local community members have stepped up to sponsor the fun afternoon.
In its 15th year, Tree A Rama has evolved from an auction of decorated Christmas trees into a diverse Christmas shopping extravaganza. There are many unique features of this auction as it occurs during the Christmas season.
Tree A Rama offers the opportunity to bid on items donated by businesses and individuals, which includes talented local artists. There will be a wide variety of distinctive, one-of-a-kind gifts that include artwork, themed gift baskets, jewelry and more. In addition, beautiful decorated Christmas trees, wreaths and centerpieces are available in the bidding. The best part about the auction is that it raises money to benefit those in need in Ottawa County through The Salvation Army.
Sponsorships are still available for Tree A Rama. The Angel Sponsor is included in Tree A Rama promotional materials, and receives a reserved table for eight at the auction. The Tree-Top Star sponsor is included in the benefit signage and Space for company informational materials. Ornament and Garland sponsors will be recognized on Tree A Rama signs and in announcements.
For details on sponsorship, contact Salvation Army Director Maureen Saponari. Call 419-732-2769 or visit the Salvation Army Service Center, 1834 E. Perry St., Port Clinton.
Some of the sponsors this year include: First Energy (Angel); Crown Battery (Tree Top Star); Catawba Moorings and Ken Gill Construction (Ornament); Right There Rental, Kocher & Gillum, Sunshine Estates Builders, Lake Disposal Services and The Chipmatic Company (Garland).
There will be a wide range of exceptional Christmas gifts up for auction on Sunday, Dec. 2 at the Salvation Army’s 15th annual Tree A Rama Charity Auction at Mon Ami Restaurant and Historic Winery.
