SIMPLE GESTURES offers coats to community

A wide variety of gently-worn coats have been collected by the SIMPLE PLEASURES group of contributors from around the area, and will be distributed this month at the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry, 414 Madison St., Port Clinton.

“Even though most items donated are usually brand new, another purpose of SIMPLE GESTURES is to assist its contributors with their own personal home organization,” said organizer Kathy Jo Scheitzer. “ By periodically asking them to consider sorting through at-home items to determine what is not needed, certain clothing and household items that are like-new, but really not used, can be great treasures for others.”

SIMPLE GESTURES has contributed a variety of items to people and groups around the community 37 times since its inception in 2015. To learn more about becoming a contributor, contact Schweitzer at MSKJS10@gmail.com.
